PE Symptoms and Causes
Premature Ejaculation Symptoms
There have been many attempts made to figure out what qualifies as premature ejaculation and what doesn’t. The two best known guidelines are:
- Master and Johnson suggest that a male suffers PE if his partner orgasms before he ejaculates more than 50% of the time.
- Researchers have said that a male suffers from premature ejaculation if he orgasms before two minutes after penetration. A survey by Alfred Kinsey in the 1950s revealed nearly 70% of men lasted less than 2 minutes.
Currently it seems the idea of PE is subjective and often depends on an individual’s perception of how satisfactory he is to his wife.
Causes of Premature Ejaculation
There are many causes of premature ejaculation.
- Mental and physiological triggers.
- Weak PC muscles.
In contrast, there is research that indicates in many cases, it is a mixture of non-physical and physical factors (such as stress), weak muscles are often the cause (as often as 73% of the time).
